Juno Beach is on the east most shoreline and the Gulf Stream keeps the waters very warm all year long. The sea temperature averages 75 degrees in the winter and to 82 degrees in the summer months.

Early morning is a wonderful less crowded time to be at the beach. However at times we must wait for more favorable afternoon winds.

We offer both private lessons and group lessons up to three people per instructor. If you have a large group, we can accommodate you with multiple instructors.

What To Bring
Thanks for choosing New Wave Kiteboarding as your Kiteboarding/Kitesurfing school. We are proud to be one of Florida’s top lesson centers. This page is designed to help our students prep for their lesson so that they will get the most out of their experience.
Necessary items
1) Please be sure to fill out our online waiver by visiting using the following link ( NWK Waiver)
2) Booties/Water shoes. If you do not have them we can lend you a pair at no charge.
3) Although the water is usually quite warm, we recommend bringing a wetsuit. (Shorty or neoprene top September through October) (3/2 full suit November through March) (3/2 shorty April- May) If you do not have one please inform us of your size and we will provide one for you at no cost.
4) We provide water on the boat but feel free to bring your favorite sport drink, snack and/or your preferred post kiteboarding beverage for the ride back from the sandbar. Cans or plastic bottles only, no glass please. Beverages are for sale at Fish Heads Tackle located on site!
We recommend you leave the following in the car:
1) Towel (save it for a warm shower back at Sailfish Marina)
2) Non water proof cell phone
3) Your favorite pair of sun glasses. If you want to wear glasses on the water, we recommend getting some water sports sunglasses or cheap soft ply glasses that you don’t mind loosing. (For safety purposes, sunglasses with hard frames are not recommended while flying)
4) anything you don’t want to get wet.
